In this Mental Awareness Week, I want to share something – Most of us will experience mental illness at some stage of life – it is not as uncommon as you think. It’s important to take care of yourself and get the most from life.

Talking about your feelings can help you stay in good mental health. Even one can go with yoga and exercise which makes you feel good. Regular exercise can boost your self-esteem and help you focus, sleep and feel better. By doing exercises, it doesn’t just mean doing some sports or working out in the gym. Slow walks in the park, gardening or some household work can also keep you active.

Also, by doing your favorite activities i.e., painting , writing , music , cooking, etc. etc. can make you active person which can make you strong mentally and will build up your confidence.

It is also most important to take care of what we eat and how we feel, for example, any caffeine and sugar can have an immediate effect. But food can also have a long-lasting effect on your mental health.

Your brain needs good amount of nutrients to stay healthy and function well, just like the other organs in your body. A diet that’s good for your physical health is also good for your mental health. Water is also good for your mental health. Everyone should consume at least three meals and a good amount of water in a day. We all can include some fruits , green veggies, nuts in our meals.

Spend some time with beloved family and supportive friends. They can definitely help you deal with the stresses of your life. Friends and family can make you feel included and make you feel enough confident and positive. They can help keep you active, keep you grounded and help you find better solutions for your problems.

Take a break from your daily routine for some minutes. A few minutes can be enough to de-stress you. Take a deep breath…Feel the oxygen in your whole body…feel relaxed.

Have a happy and positive time!
